We were given an opportunity to get a customer interview with Danville Indiana's municipal workers for Pentair's wastewater products, primarily the Hydromatic Next-Gen pump. After the fantastic feedback and footage collected we decided to create a case study based on the testimonial. From that case study we found the top areas for producing the most waste were the hospital, county jail, and the area's landfill. I was given the role of creating an infographic that displayed the flow of wastewater to those key locations in relevance to the lift station and the water treatment plant.
Comparison of the Illustration vs the Real Life Structure
I wanted to create a similar look to the real life key areas in Danville. I decided to look at some references of these key buildings to create something that would have relevancy to those who lived in the area. The locations of these key areas are also place geographically to how you would normally see them on a map. Building structures and objects were also created on an isometric grid system to give the viewer a complex system with depth and realism to the structures.
The case study can be viewed and downloaded below, which I also did the design/layout for.
